Following weeks of anticipation, the application forms have been submitted, scores have been counted and we can now unveil the short list for the Dumfries & Galloway Business awards 2012.  A total of 19 companies have been successful in making the short list for each of the 10 categories.   

The quality of the entrants was extremely high and the short listed nominees reflect the sheer breadth of business success throughout Dumfries & Galloway - from small start-ups and individual entrepreneurs to long-established businesses.  Stuart Callander Chamber President commented, “The response to the Awards has been fantastic and I do not envy the judges task in selecting winners from such an outstanding group of companies.  I am certainly looking forward to the Award ceremony to hear how they all got on – it promises to be a great evening for local business.”

The winners will be announced by BBC’s Catriona Shearer at the Gala Dinner on Thursday 22nd March at the Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries.  Tickets are still on available for this event and demand is high so book early to avoid disappointment!
